Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Llanberis with a lunch stop in Llandudno en-route with time to explore and obtain lunch. Depart Llandudno at 14.30hrs to continue our journey to the hotel. Arrive to a warm Welsh welcome with tea/coffee while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
This morning following breakfast join the coach for the short journey to Caernarfon, our attraction today is Caernarfon Castle, recognised around the world as one of the greatest buildings of the Middle Ages, and imposing UNESCO World Heritage Site. This afternoon we take a scenic drive to Betws-y-Coed, North Wales' most popular inland resort, set in the Gwydir Forest, enjoy time to explore with time for lunch before returning to the hotel.
Wednesday
This morning following a leisurely start join the coach as we head back to Caernarfon to board a heritage narrow-gauge steam train on the Welsh Highland Railway to the charming village of Beddgelert. This is a wonderfully scenic 25-mile journey across the foothills of Snowdon giving panoramic vistas of towering peaks, lush valleys, and high mountain passes. On arrival our coach will be waiting to take you to Portmeirion where you can enjoy the wonderful views while exploring the lovely, terraced gardens and picturesque village, shops and eateries.
Thursday
This morning we head to Beaumaris on the banks of the Menai Straits on Anglesey to board a Puffin Island Cruise. Enjoy an 80-minute Seacoast Safari cruise with a chance to see puffins, seals and other seabirds in their natural habitat, you'll also take in some of Anglesey's history along the way. This afternoon re-join the coach as we head to Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, a historic garden situated between the Menai Bridge and Beaumaris. Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens have undergone a spectacular restoration and are being restored to their former glory allowing you to explore picturesque valley gardens with waterfalls, a large ornamental walled garden, beautiful ancient woodland and early pit house.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, take a scenic journey via Betws-y-Coed and Corwen through the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley National Landscape to have a lunch stop in Chester, departing at 14.00hrs to continue our journey home.
