Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.30hrs for our journey to the Beaufort Park, before heading to the hotel we visit the popular Victorian seaside town of Llandudno with time to explore and obtain lunch. Depart Llandudno at 15.00hrs to head to the hotel. Arrive to a warm welcome with tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
This morning's excursion takes us to Conwy, home of the famous castle, enjoy a stroll by the quayside or visit the 'smallest house in Great Britain'. Re-join the coach to travel along the coastline to Beaumaris a delightful village on the shores of the Isle of Anglesey. We have some free time to stretch your legs before we head to the pier to board a 75-minute Puffin Island Cruise, the island is home to an abundance of wildlife besides puffins you may be lucky enough to spot dolphins or porpoise.
Wednesday
Today we take a scenic drive through glorious Cheshire countryside to visit historic Chester. Walk in the footsteps of Roman soldiers as you discover this great city filled with wonderful attractions. Perhaps explore the cathedral, visit the unique 'Rows' magnificent two-tiered shops, take a stroll along the city walls or meander down to the River Dee, perhaps enjoy lunch in a riverside pub, walk along the river and take in the views or take a boat trip. Today the choice is yours
Thursday
Today's excursion takes us through beautiful Welsh scenery, including the spectacular Horseshoe Pass to the Dee Valley, sit back a relax on a rail journey on the Rheilfford Llangollen Railway and a leisurely cruise on the 'Stream in the Sky' over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct designed in 1905 by Thomas Telford, the aqueduct is the tallest canal boat crossing in the world, recognised in 2009 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today we also allow free time in Llangollen renowned for its surrounding hills, interesting shops, cosy cafes and interesting places to visit around the town.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast, join the coach at 10.30hrs before commencing our journey home we travel to Holywell, The Lourdes of Wales is a place of pilgrimage, one of the country's hidden gems and Seven Wonders of Wales. The town takes its name from the world-famous 7th century well, St Winefride's Holy Well. Visit the well, chapel and visitor centre with admission included before re-joining the coach to head into the market town to give you time to obtain lunch. Depart Holywell at 14.00hrs to continue our journey home.
