Troon is on the Ayshire coast of the Firth of Clyde, where the close proximity of the Gulf Stream produces a mild climate. From our holiday base we explore the popular island of Arran, visit majestic Culzean Castle, the Isle of Bute and Mount Stuart House
ITINERARY
MONDAY
Depart Leyland at 10:00 for the journey north to Troon
TUESDAY
Full day excursion to the Isle of Arran. Early breakfast then the short drive to Ardrossan for the 09:45hrs ferry to Brodick, Arranûs popular principal town. Ample time for sightseeing and shopping before returning by ferry to Adrossan
WEDNESDAY
Half day excursion travelling via Ayr for an afternoon visit to Culzean Castle and Gardens. This great 18th Century castle with its oval staircase and the Eisenhower Room makes a fascinating visit.
THURSDAY
Today we travel to Wemyss Bay for the sailing to the Isle of Bute and visit Mount Stuart House. Britains most spectacular Victorian Gothic Mansion
FRIDAY
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey to Leyland
