Tuesday
Depart Leyland at 09.00am for our journey to Filton on the outskirts of Bristol with a lunch stop in historic Lichfield en-route, with time to explore and obtain lunch, depart Lichfield at 14.00hrs to continue our journey to the hotel.
Wednesday
Today we step back in time on a visit to the see the world's first great ocean liner Brunel's SS Great Britain in the heart of the multi award-winning attraction in Bristol's historic waterfront. Step aboard the ship that changed the world, dressed ready for departure with flags flying. Discover the true story of Victorian passengers and crew on a super-speedy two-month voyage to Australia, experience sights, sounds and smells of life onboard. Investigate Riggers Yard, explore the Great Western Dockyard where the magnificent liner was built, step inside the historic Dock Office following in the footsteps Isambard Kingdom Brunel, visit Being Brunel and discover more about the genius engineer. With a little free time in Bristol.
Thursday
Discover life through the eyes of Jane Austen on a visit to Bath, marvel at honey-coloured historical buildings and grand sweeping architecture of Royal Crescent and majestic Circus. One of the most stylish destinations, its city centre brims with independent stores and popular high street brands. This delicious foodie destination is delight choose from Michelin Star restaurants to gastropubs, cosy cafes and chilled out bars. Sample a bun from Sally Lunn's historic eating house situated in Bath's oldest house, the choices are endless in this compact city. Today we include a visit to the premier attraction The Roman Baths, featuring four main sections: the Sacred Spring, the Bath House, the Temple and Roman artefacts found in Bath, costumed characters tell their stories bringing history to life, walk in the footsteps of Romans at this great attraction.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our return journey home with a lunch stop at Trentham Shopping Outlet en-route. Re-join the coach at 14.00hrs to continue our journey home.
