Itinerary:
Wednesday
Depart Leyland at 10.00hrs for our journey to Harrogate with a lunch stop in Skipton en-route. Perhaps start the festivities early with a visit to one of the local hostelries for a tipple and something lovely for lunch, pick up some last-minute goodies for your Christmas break from a choice of artisan shops and the market. Re-join the coach at 14.00hrs to continue our journey to the hotel. Arrive to a warm festive welcome with tea/coffee and mince pies while your case is taken to your room. This evening enjoys a 3-course served evening meal with a glass of wine.
Thursday (Christmas Eve)
Following breakfast enjoy a free day today to enjoy our host town Harrogate and to relax at the hotel. At 3pm join us back at the hotel for tea/coffee and scone with jam. This evening enjoys a 3-course served evening meal with a glass of wine.
Friday (Christmas Day)
Merry Christmas to all our Ava Travellers!! Following breakfast relax at the hotel. This afternoon we enjoy a traditional Christmas lunch with Christmas pudding. Games, chess and books will be available throughout the day. Join us for Sherry and Christmas Cake during the King's Speech. Tonight, if you have room enjoy a light evening buffet.
Saturday (Boxing Day)
Today following breakfast we head to York, hit the shops and grab a bargain in the Boxing Day sales (if you are wanting to visit a particular store it may be best to ring or check their website in advance as not all stores will be open and those that are may work reduced hours), many of the pubs and restaurants will be open so find somewhere lovely for lunch (if you want to eat somewhere in particular you may be best booking in advance). Perhaps visit York Minster or wrap up warm and take a stroll along the river. Re-join the coach at 13.30hrs to return to the hotel to enjoy tea/coffee and a slice of cake.
Sunday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast for the return journey home with a stop at Boundary Mill en-route, re-join the coach at 13.00hrs to continue our journey home.
