Take a guided tour of the university city of Cambridge renowned for its rich history and beautiful architecture, see the highlights before spending free time exploring the city. Explore the ‘finest stone town in England’ on a taster visit to Stamford, discover no less than 600 listed buildings and 5 medieval churches. Sunday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey to the Cambridge Belfry with a lunch stop at the National Memorial Arboretum en-route. Arrive at the hotel to a warm welcome while your luggage is taken to your room.
Monday - Wednesday
Free time in the resort with the following excursions:
Visit to Imperial War Museum Duxford, from the early days of flight, through the dramatic days of the Second World War and advances of the Cold War, Duxford has played an essential role. Discover exciting exhibitions in every hanger. Return to the hotel mid-afternoon for time at leisure.
Guided tour of the magnificent university city of Cambridge followed by free time to explore.
Visit to Bletchley Park, the unique heritage attraction. Discover the incredible achievements of Britain's World War Two Codebreakers in the place where it happened.
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast to commence our journey home with a lunch stop and time to explore historic Stamford en-route, re-join the coach at 13.30hrs to continue our journey home.
