Itinerary:
Friday
Depart Leyland at 08.30am for our journey to Durham with a lunch stop in Barnard Castle en-route, with time to explore and obtain lunch. Before heading to the hotel visit the French-style Bowes Museum, view the museums lovingly restored 250-year-old silver swan automaton and outstanding collections of art, fashion and design, re-join the coach at 15.00hrs to continue our journey to the hotel.
Saturday
Today we enjoy a day in Durham, take a guided tour of the magnificent cathedral to discover hidden gems and fascinating stories about the cathedral's rich history, followed by free time for you to explore at leisure.
Sunday
Today following a leisurely start we visit the Beamish Open Air Living Museum, see what life was like in the County Durham of yesteryear as you navigate the site on complimentary vintage bus and tram.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, before we travel home head back into Durham for free time to explore and obtain lunch re-join the coach at 14.00hrs to continue our journey home.
