Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Great Yarmouth with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
Tuesday
This morning our excursion takes us west to Norwich, county capital of Norfolk, complete with medieval cathedral, perhaps explore the Romanesque building with ornate cloisters or visit the Tombland area, once a Saxon marketplace. Cobbled Elm Hill and the Castle Mall shopping complex are also worth a visit, take time to explore and obtain lunch returning to the hotel via the charming villages of Wroxham and Horning in the Norfolk Broads, with short stops in each.
Wednesday
Free day to explore and discover the delights of Great Yarmouth famous for its long sandy beach, perfect for a stroll on a fine day, perhaps visit the Tide and Time or Nelson Museums or the Merrivale Model Village or just relax at the hotel and maybe take an afternoon dip in the swimming pool, today the choice is yours.
Thursday
Today's excursion takes us down the coast to neighbouring county Suffolk and the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the quintessentially British seaside town of Southwold. With sandy beach, lighthouse and hut-lined promenade little has changed in the picturesque town since Victorian times, offering its visitor a timeless beauty. Perhaps visit the pier, a great day out and loved by generations, home to delicious food, excellent shopping, breathtaking sea views and the quirky 'Under the Pier Show', the utterly eccentric world of Tom Hunkin's inventions, the most unique collection of interactive machines in the world, with time to explore and obtain lunch. Depart Southwold at 14.30hrs to head north to Oulton Broad and Lowestoft, the most easterly point in England, make a stop to enjoy the views and explore heading back to the hotel at 16.00hrs.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
