Join us as we travel to the north of the Isle of Man to the town of Ramsey, base for our Gulf Stream Isle Adventure with its busy shopping street, harbour and sandy beach, the town lays claim to being the sunniest spot on the island.  Explore this magical island filled with folklore and legend where Vikings once roamed.  Travel through stunning countryside with hills carpeted in beautiful heather blooms and marvel at the breath-taking coastal views of emerald seas and rocky coastline combined with a mild climate, an abundance of open spaces with interesting landmarks and visits to seaside towns, ports and small fishing villages as we travel through the beautiful scenery of the Gulf Stream Isle.

Itinerary:

Monday
Depart Leyland at 11.00hrs for our journey to Heysham to boards the afternoon ferry over to Douglas on the isle of Man, re-join the coach when we disembark to make the scenic journey across the island to the Ramsey Park Hotel, our island home for the next four nights, arrive to a warm welcome while your case is taken to your room.

Tuesday
Our excursion today takes us south to the village of Laxey, home to 'Lady Isabella', better known as the Great Laxey Wheel. Serving the mine for over 70 years, this is the largest surviving waterwheel of its kind in the world. Perhaps visit the wheel or the famous Laxey Woolen Mill where wool from the Manx Loaghtan sheep is spun into beautiful garments. Later return to Ramsey where the rest of the afternoon is free to relax and explore at leisure.

Wednesday
Following a leisurely start today's excursion begins with a ride out to the west coast with a visit to the beautiful fishing port of Peel with an opportunity to explore and obtain lunch, perhaps visit the castle or the House of Manannan, if you love fish why not visit Deverau's Factory Shop where you can purchase kippers to be shipped home by post. From Peel continue our scenic journey to the southern side of the island with a visit the picturesque seaside village of Port Erin with time to explore, perhaps visit the Railway Museum or Port Erin Arts Centre or just sit and relax in one of the pretty cafes overlooking the beach. From here we travel the short distance to The Sound, the islands very southern tip and one of the most scenic areas of the British Isles, an area of abundant wildlife and natural wonders, a hotspot for sunbathing seals, dolphins and even basking sharks with views over the Calf of Man, following a short stop continue to Castletown, the ancient capital of Mann with time to explore before returning to the hotel via the Fairy Bridge, don't forget to greet the mischievous fairies.

Thursday
This morning, we travel inland as we make our way southwest to St Johns, home to Tynwald Hill, the symbol of the Isle of Man independence, enjoy some free time here to explore. perhaps visit the Parish Church of St John the Baptist (Tynwald Church). From Tynwald we travel across the Island to spend the rest of the day in Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man, with great shopping and foodie scene, stroll along the stunning promenade to enjoy sea views and the statues. Perhaps take a train journey, ride on the Douglas Bay Horse Drawn Tram, or visit the Manx Museum, the choice is yours.

Friday
Following an early breakfast check out of our hotel to board the morning ferry back to Heysham to continue our journey home.
