Tuesday
Today take a scenic tour of the north of the island, travel the coast road to Laxey, home of the Laxey Wheel, one of the islands most iconic landmarks where we will make a short photo stop, continue the coastal route to Ramsey, the islands 2nd largest town after Douglas where we will make another stop, take time to visit the harbour or the beach just 1 minute away from its town centre , re-join the coach to travel across the island to the west coast continuing to the pretty seaside town and small fishing port of Peel, if you're a fan of kippers this is the best place to buy them, they've been cured here using the same traditional method since 1884, you can even have them posted home.
Wednesday
Today we spend free time in our resort Douglas. Perhaps take a leisurely stroll along the promenade or heritage horse-drawn tram along the seafront in their 150th season, visit the max or Douglas Heritage Museum, take a journey on the Manx Electric Railway, do a spot of shopping or find somewhere lovely for lunch, today the choice is yours.
Thursday
Today we take a narrow-gauge steam train journey from Douglas to Port Erin with a little free time to explore, re-join the coach at the station at 12.00noon as we continue our discovery of the island, travel to the southernmost tip of the island to The Sound, a hotspot for sunbathing seals and wildlife, enjoy magnificent panoramic, coastal views over to the Calf of Man with time to visit the café and take some photographs, travel back to Douglas via Castletown where we will have a stop in the former capital of the Isle of Man home to Tynwald, the Manx court, wander its narrow streets lined with fishing cottages. Continue our journey back to the hotel passing the Fairy Bridge where local children leave gifts and messages for the islands Fay Folk (don't forget to greet the Fey inhabitants with a jovial 'Hello Fairies' or you may fall prey to their mischievous, malicious whims).
Friday
Check out of our hotel following an early breakfast as we head to the short distance to Douglas Port for the 08.45am ferry back to Heysham where we will re-join the coach to continue our journey home.
