Visit moated Leeds Castle, dubbed ‘the loveliest castle in the world’, take a journey through 900 years of intrigue, romance, and resilience followed by a delicious cream tea. Travel through the glorious countryside of Kent to discover the walled, historic city of Canterbury with a guided tour of its magnificent cathedral, one of the city’s three UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We also include a visit to historic Rochester much loved by Victorian novelist Charles Dickens.

Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Bridgewood Manor in Kent with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive to a warm welcome with refreshments while your case is taken to your room.
Monday to Wednesday

Following breakfast travel though England's beautiful Garden of England to spend the day in Canterbury, in the morning we visit Canterbury Cathedral with a guided tour, includes access to the Cathedral Precincts, gardens and exhibitions. Following our visit spend free time exploring this magnificent city and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Discover rich heritage and culture, surround yourself with magnificent architecture in the medieval walled city with a great shopping and foodie scene you'll be spoilt for choice on this wonderful day out.
Morning is at leisure to enjoy the hotel, relax and perhaps use the leisure facilities, at 12noon join the coach for this afternoon's excursion. Walk in the footsteps of Victorian Novelist Charles Dickens as you explore the wonderful historic town of Rochester, many of his books reference buildings around the city and you'll find blue plaques dotted around the High Street referencing their Dickens connection. Perhaps visit the stunning cathedral or wander the High Street crammed with quaint independent shops, cosy cafes and inns, allowing time for lunch. Re-join the coach at 16.00hrs to return to the hotel.
Today's excursion takes us to Leeds Castle with its glorious grounds and moat, dubbed 'the loveliest castle in the world'. Join us for a "Leeds Castle and Its History" talk which will take you on a journey through 900 years from its Norman origins to its Tudor palace transformation and royal residence role, explore the castle's rich evolution. Learn how Leeds Castle survived sieges, hosted royalty, and became the enchanting destination it is today, followed by a cream tea and time to explore.

Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
