IMPORTANT NOTE
: The show begins at 20.30hrs and we will arrive at least 1hr before. There is a flat walk from the coach drop off point of approx. 350mtrs. Food and beverages are available on site, no food and drink to be taken in The Tribune, this is an open-air theatre with no shelter from rain or adverse weather, please dress accordingly with comfortable, suitable footwear, umbrellas are not allowed. Bags can be taken into The Tribune but must not exceed 40 x 30 x 20cm, no backpacks or rucksacks, any blankets must fit into a bag no bigger than the size specified. It can take at least 1hr to vacate the grounds, please be patient, the experience will be worth it.
Itinerary:
Friday
Depart Leyland at 08.30hrs for our journey to Newcastle with a lunch stop in Hexham en-route with time to explore. Depart Hexham at 14.30hrs to continue our journey to Newcastle where you'll receive a warm welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Saturday
Following breakfast today we enjoy free time in Newcastle to relax and enjoy the hotel or discover and explore the wonderful historic city as this evening following an early evening meal we will be setting off on our journey to Bishop Aukland to watch the magical spectacular of Kynren, an epic tale of England.
Sunday
Following a leisurely start today join the coach at 10.00hrs, today we enjoy a day beside the seaside with a visit to the traditional seaside resort of Tynemouth, with a lovely Blue-Flag beach and a popular Sunday market with over 150 stalls selling antiques, crafts, vintage clothing and street food. Perhaps explore the ruins of Tynemouth Priory and Castle which offers dramatic, sweeping views of the North Sea or sit and relax in a cosy coffee shop, there's great eateries and boutique shops here too. Re-join the coach at 15.30 to return to the hotel.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, before we commence our journey home we visit Durham with time to explore and obtain lunch, perhaps take a river cruise or enjoy a stroll along the river, visit the castle or magnificent cathedral or sit and relax in one of the many cafes, bars and restaurants this compact gem has to offer. Depart Durham at 14.30hrs to continue our journey home.
