Thursday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Norwich with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
Friday
This morning we visit the city of Norwich with time to explore and obtain lunch, perhaps visit the magnificent cathedral or make a photo stop in the cobbled Elm Hill district. This afternoon we drive to the picturesque village of Horning in the Norfolk Broads where we join the Mississippi Paddle Steamer Southern Comfort for a delightful sail around the Broads.
Saturday
Today's excursion takes us to Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, near East Dereham in the 'Heart of Norfolk'. The fascinating museum and historic farm are set within 50 acres of beautiful Norfolk countryside. The museum farm is run as a traditional Norfolk farm would have been between 1900 and 1930, enjoy seeing rare breed animals and learn the story of rural Norfolk. Discover the history of the workhouse and uncover the story of the people who once walked the whitewashed corridors. Relax in the delightful gardens and perhaps pop into the Mardler's Rest Café, gift shop and bookshop where plenty of second-hand titles are available for donations.
Sunday
Today following a leisurely start, we head north to the coast and the traditional seaside resort of Cromer, famous for its Victorian pier, enjoy time to explore and obtain lunch. This afternoon we make our way to the magnificent Jacobean house, Blicking Hall, famed for its spectacular Long Gallery and wonderful collections of furniture, pictures, books and tapestries. Wander stunning, vibrant gardens, extensive parkland with lake offering beautiful woodland and lakeside walks.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
