Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.30hrs for our journey to the 4-star Marriott Hotel on the outskirts of Windsor with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive to a warm welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
This morning we head to iconic Battersea Power Station. Explore one of London's newest shopping and leisure sites. The Grade II listed building has been regenerated into a wonderful place to shop, eat, drink, live, work and play. It also offers 'Lift 109', this unique chimney lift takes you to the top of the Northwest Chimney to experience 360-degree views of London's breathtaking skyline (booking recommended and not included). This afternoon we visit Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of King Charles III, serving as both home and office. Visit magnificent State Rooms, lavishly furnished with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection.
Wednesday
This morning we travel to Camden and its famous market. The area is diverse, inspired and brimming with energy'. The market offers visitors a unique shopping experience with plenty places to eat and people watch. This afternoon we visit Kensington palace, birthplace of Queen Victoria and home to young royals for over 300 years. Discover how the young Victoria lived her childhood and visit the King's and Queen's State Apartments. Outside wander beautiful gardens before returning to the hotel.
Thursday
This morning we travel to the Tower of London. Discover one of London's iconic castles and World Heritage Site, a secure fortress, medieval royal palace and infamous prison, home to the resident ravens and legendary Yeoman Warders. Don't forget to visit the Tower to get up close to the Crown Jewels and discover their dazzling history in the Crown Jewels exhibition. This afternoon enjoys free time to explore the surrounding area, top visitor site includes the famous Borough Market and Hay's Galleria, St Katherines Dock and Marina, The Shard, Tate Modern, London Bridge and HMS Belfast. Within a short walk of the Tower are traditional historic pubs, scenic riverside restaurants and cafes.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, before heading home we visit the royal town of nearby Windsor with time to explore and obtain lunch before departing at 13.30hrs to continue our journey home.
