Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.30hrs for our journey to Malvern with a lunch stop in Stafford en-route, depart at 14.00hrs to continue our journey to the Abbey Hotel Malvern, our home for the next four nights.
Tuesday
Today we visit the city of Hereford, breaking our journey at the Hop Pocket Shopping Village with its collection of independent shops. In Hereford spend time at leisure exploring the city home to an iconic golden-stone cathedral, half-timbered houses and many shops. From Hereford venture to the foot of the Malvern Hills to enjoy a guided tour of Eastnor Castle. Still a family home, its has richly decorated interiors containing mediaeval armour, fine art and tapestries. Wander beautiful grounds including an arboretum and Castle Lake.
Wednesday
Our day starts in historic and cultural Worcester. With a guided tour, we discover 250 years of colourful stories through the largest collection of impressive Worcester porcelain in the world at the Museum of Royal Worcester. There's time to wander through the city at your own pace before visiting Morton Hall Gardens. Welcomed on arrival, you will find eight acres of private gardens, created between 2008 and 2011 which has rapidly claimed a place amongst the best gardens in the heart of England. Enjoy a short introduction to the gardens with the head gardener accompanied by tea/coffee and homemade muffins.
Thursday
A leisurely beginning to our day before proceeding to Croome House, where admission is included, to expect the unexpected. Incredible innovation, devastating loss, remarkable survival and magnificent restoration all in one place. Admission to the privately owned historic walled gardens, which played a key part of Croome's landscape designed by 'Capability' Brown, will also be included.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, before heading home we enjoy time to explore our host town Malvern, allowing time for lunch, departing at 13.00hrs to continue our journey home.
