Multi-Channel Island Adventure

Itinerary:

Saturday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey to our overnight hotel in Bournemouth with a suitable lunch stop en-route. This evening enjoy an evening meal and an early night at the hotel, ready for our journey to Jersey tomorrow.

Sunday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast. Head to Poole to board the ferry as foot passengers to St Helier in Jersey the start of our Channel Island adventure. Disembark in Jersey and join a local coach for the transfer to the hotel.

Monday
Today a local coach will meet us at the hotel for a full day 'Round Island' excursion includes the beautiful bays of St. Brelade's and St. Ouen's, the Corbiere Lighthouse and charming harbour village of St. Aubin's.

Tuesday
A day at leisure to relax and explore St Helier perhaps take a 'Hop On Hop Off' bus for visits to the Durrell Wildlife Park and the fascinating Jersey War Tunnels, or relax at the hotel, perhaps take a dip in the pool and lounge poolside, the choice is yours.

Wednesday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast. Join the transfer to the port to board a ferry to Guernsey. Disembark in Guernsey to join the local coach transfer to the hotel. The island is steeped in wartime history, and the legacy is a labyrinth of fortifications plus fascinating museums that vividly recreate everyday life in the occupied islands.

Thursday
This morning is at leisure in Guernsey, join the local coach transfer to the port where we board a boat for an afternoon excursion to the beautiful Herm Island. There are no cars and no pressure, just an active policy of preserving the island's pristine natural environment and peacefulness. Enjoy beach walks, gift shops at the harbour plus the Mermaid Tavern. After time at leisure on Herm return to St Peter Port for transfer to the hotel.

Friday
Join the local coach transfer to the port where we board a boat for full day excursion to Sark. On arrival transfers by tractor-train are provided up the hill from the port to the village centre. This sleepy island has no cars, just bicycles and horse drawn carts. A 1-hour carriage ride around the north of the island is included. Boat and local coach transfer back to the hotel.

Saturday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, join the local coach transfer back to the port to board the ferry as foot passengers pack to Poole. Disembark and re-join your Ava Coach for the journey back to the Queens Hotel in Bournemouth where we will arrive in time for our evening meal


Sunday
Check out of our overnight hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.

IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTES:
It is important to take an overnight bag for your overnight hotel stays in Bournemouth on 21st and 28th August. Please ensure you pack medication for the 2 days and any toiletries you may need, please don't leave any valuables in these bags as they will stay on our coach in Poole while we are on holiday.

A certain level of fitness is required to get the most out of this holiday. You will need to be able to transfer from ferries and boats throughout your stay independently or with assistance from a travel companion who is booked with you.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for trips to Jersey and Guernsey from the UK. While reciprocal health agreements exist, they do not cover all medical costs, such as emergency repatriation, medical transport, or some treatments.

Jersey and Guernsey use the British pound sterling (£, GBP) as their primary currency. Both islands issue their own local notes and coins-the Jersey pound and Guernsey pound-which are used alongside UK money, please note the Jersey and Guernsey Pound are not legal tender in the UK.
