Sunday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to our overnight hotel in Beauly, Inverness with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
Monday
Check out of our overnight hotel following breakfast as we journey along the east coast of Scotland following the scenic NC500 route to Wick and the Norseman Hotel, our home for the next three nights.
Tuesday
Visit Her Majesty The Queen Mother's beloved Castle of Mey which has been kept just as it was when she was alive. Explore the gardens and enjoy the views over the Pentland Firth the remainder of the day is at leisure in our host town Wick.
Wednesday
A full day excursion to Orkney including return ferry crossings from Gill's Bay with Pentland Ferries. On arrival, meet your local guide who will ensure the highlights of this wonderful island are not missed. These may include Skara Brae, the Churchill Barriers, Scapa Flow, Ring of Brodgar, the Italian Chapel and Kirkwall's magnificent cathedral. Admission to both Skara Brae and the Italian Chapel have been included.
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast to journey back along the east coast section of the NC500 route, marvel at the views as we travel to Inverness, here we make a stop in the Highland capital to obtain lunch before continuing our journey along the coast and Elgin toward Aberdeen where we join the scenic A92 through Montrose, Arbroath and Dundee to our final destination The Royal George in Perth our home for the next two nights.
Friday
Today is a free day to relax and enjoy Perth, Scotland's capital until the 15th century. The city has many interesting attractions to discover, perhaps visit the Black Watch Castle and Museum or the Fergusson Gallery, take a stroll along the River Tay in South Inch Park or walk up Kinnoull Hill for stunning views of the city or just relax and watch the world go by in one of the many wonderful eating establishments and hostilities. If shopping's your thing this compact, walkable city offers an array of independent family-owned shops and high street brands.
Saturday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
