Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey to Shopshire with a lunch stop in Lichfield, Staffordshire en-route. Arrive at the hotel to welcome tea/coffee on arrival while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
Today's excursion takes us to the historic town of Shrewsbury for a morning River Severn Cruise on Sabrina Boat with tea/coffee and biscuits followed by free time to explore the town and obtain lunch before returning to the hotel.
Wednesday
Morning visit to Blist Hill Victorian Town, this wonderful open-air museum allows you to step back in time to the dawn of a modern age and experience what life was like in 1900. Visit Victorian shops and cottages, witness craftspeople demonstrating their trades and taste authentic food in the re-created working town. Mid-afternoon return to the hotel for free time in Telford or relax at the hotel, possibly making use of the leisure facilities.
Thursday
This morning spends time in the charming Shopshire town of Bridgnorth, rich in history surrounded by stunning scenery, once one of the busiest river ports in Europe. Head over to Bridgnorth Station to board a heritage train for a journey back to the golden age of steam to Kidderminster and its faithful recreation of a 1900's Great Western Railway station, here you can visit the gift shop, café, station pub and possibly the museum before re-joining our awaiting coach for the return to the hotel.
N.B Heritage carriages may be steam or diesel hauled.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast for the journey home with a lunch stop historic Whitchurch, Shopshire en-route.
