Torquay has a busy harbour with international marina and is part of the UNESCO accredited Global Geopark, famous for its swaying palm trees which give the resort a mediterranean feel. Enjoy a nostalgic journey on the South Devon Railway from the foothills of Dartmoor followed by a visit to beautiful Buckfast Abbey, home to a community of Benedictine Monks. Includes a visit to Brixham.

Itinerary:
Thursday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Torquay with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive to a warm West Country welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Friday - Sunday
Free time in Torquay with the following excursions:
Today our excursion takes us to Buckfastleigh on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park where we take a scenic rail journey to Totnes and back. In the afternoon we visit Buckfast Abbey, home to a community of Benedictine Monks. (please note, on the rail journey carriages may be steam or diesel hauled).
Following a leisurely breakfast enjoy a morning visit to Brixham with time to explore and obtain lunch in the picturesque South Devon fishing village. Re-join the coach at 14.00hrs as we return to Torquay for free time.
Monday
Depart the hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
