A Grade II-listed retreat in the heart of the Yorkshire. Almost a Victorian and medieval fantasy. Nidd Hall was named for a village many thought the ‘capitol’ of Yorkshire’s Nidderdale. It’s the English form of the Celtic Nith, or Shining River. And it’s a pretty way of describing a truly pretty place, set at the gateway to the delightful Dales.
This Georgian Grade II listed country house hotel is situated on the outskirts of Harrogate on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors. Built in the 18th century by a wealthy Bradford wool merchant, Nidd is a potpourri of architectural styles. Nidd Hall is set in 45 acres with award winning gardens. The house is surrounded by 45 acres of garden and lawns that culminate in an ornamental lake, providing the perfect surroundings. All bedrooms are en-suite with TV, tea/coffee tray, hairdryer and safe.
