You have evacuated to Llandudno and you’ve been issued with your very own Ration Book which contains an itinerary with Coupons which entitle you to: Ration Books, Tea and Tiffin, Complimentary Drink, Fancy Dress Night, Jam & Cream Scones and numerous other Complimentary Goodies, Themed entertainment every night, War Themed Quiz and Prizes and Staff in Costume throughout your break
The family run St Kilda Hotel lies between the two headlands in the very centre of the sweeping Promenade directly opposite the Bandstand. All rooms are en-suite with TV and tea/coffee tray.
THE HOTEL HAS A LIFT.
Depart Leyland 1100 for the journey to Llandudno and the St Kilda Hotel where you will be welcomed by the Army and RAF who distribute Tea & Scones, whilst your luggage is taken care of. You are given the ‘Gen’ by the Officer in Charge. Ration Books containing menus and coupons for free drinks, Cream Teas, Tiffin etc. are handed out and you are taken to your billet en suite, clean and comfortable. A 4 course dinner including coffee and mints is served followed by an evening of entertainment.
Enjoy your breakfast, there is no rationing here. You can select from a wide choice at breakfast, from grapefruit segments to the fullest of full breakfasts. Eggs are served any way you want them - except powdered! Wherever you go during the day make sure you are back in time to exchange your Sherry coupon at our Reception before dinner. Another evening of entertainment follows.
Another delicious breakfast and maybe an opportunity for a morning trip. Perhaps you will be back in time for a bar snack or sandwich at the hotel, last orders 1345hrs. If you don’t come back for lunch, don’t be late for Tea & Tiffin cake which is served at 1500hrs. After a delicious dinner enjoy another evening of entertainment.
Take full advantage of Llandudno’s shops. This area is exempt from Clothes rationing! Choose from
specialised boutiques to larger stores such as Marks & Spencer & Debenhams. Tea and homemade scones with jam and cream are served this afternoon at 1530hrs. Fancy Dress Night, judging at 2030hrs in the bar. This will be decided on your arrival to fit in with our entertainment and your needs, Guests have dressed as home guard, land girls, nurses, evacuees, soldiers, Mrs Mops and even General De Gaulle! There is a flag for every guest. For those who don’t want to dress up we lend tin helmets or you can buy a Union Jack bowler from reception. Following dinner we have our tribute to the sounds of the forties, including of course our vocalist rounding off the
evening with ‘We’ll Meet Again’.
Whilst you have breakfast our porters are attending to your luggage. As we wave you goodbye we hope you’ll say - ‘We’ll Meet Again’.
