This wonderful tour offers a great food, drink and entertainment package and excursions that will allow you to experience the fascinating tale of Dundee’s industrial heritage with a visit to the historic hidden gem of Dundee, Verdant Works. Visit the extremely picturesque harbour town of Arbroath home of the famous Smokie. Journey along the beautiful coastline to Aberdeen, the unique coastal gem, one of the most architecturally distinct cities in Europe that offers its visitors a unique blend of history, culture and maritime charm with a visit to the Gordon Highlanders Museum.

Itinerary:
Thursday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Montrose with a suitable lunch stop en-route, arrive to a warm Scottish welcome with tea/coffee and shortbread while your bag is taken to your room.
Friday
Journey along the coast to visit the beautiful 'Granite City' of Aberdeen, allowing time to explore and obtain lunch, perhaps visit the Aberdeen Art Gallery, Provost Skene House or take a selfie at the Aberdeen art installation sign in Union Terrace Gardens with magnificent backdrop of His Majesty's Theatre and the William Wallace statue, today includes a visit to the Gordon Highlanders Museum, a 5-star Visit Scotland attraction which tells the compelling and dramatic 200 year story of the Gordon Highlanders Regiment. This evening enjoys a gin tasting by the Toll House at the hotel.
Saturday
Day of leisure to enjoy our host town Montrose, relax at the hotel, perhaps explore the town and the Nature reserve or take a coastal walk, mid-afternoon return to the hotel for a light afternoon cream tea of tea/coffee, cream scone and meringue. This evening enjoys a glass of bubbly before tonight's Jersey Boys tribute act entertainment.
Sunday
Following a leisurely start our excursion take us on a visit to Arbroath, home of the famous Arbroath Smokie with time to explore, continue our journey to Dundee, hear stories of the city's mill workers, witness machines at work and step back in time to the heart of Dundee's industrial era on a visit to Verdant Works, followed by free time in Dundee.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.

Guest bedrooms are comfortable, traditional rooms. N.B - The hotel does not have a lift; however, it is low rise with plenty of rooms on the ground floor (on request only).
