Itinerary:
Thursday
Depart Leyland at 14.00hrs for our journey to Hull to board the overnight ferry to Rotterdam, enjoy dinner, entertainment and shopping onboard before retiring to your cabin.
Friday
Arrive in Rotterdam rested and enjoy breakfast onboard before disembarking, re-join the coach to continue our journey to our hotel in Brussels, before we do, visit Breda in the Netherlands with time to explore and obtain lunch. Wander cobblestone streets lined magnificent historic buildings, beautiful canals and lively pavement cafes. Re-join the coach at 14.00hrs to continue our journey to the hotel with time to relax before your evening meal.
Saturday
This morning following breakfast join the coach at 09.30hrs as we head to Bruges. The pretty medieval city takes on a wonderful fairytale atmosphere as it wlecomes the return of the Christmas Markets. As winter arrives and the temperatures drop, something magical happens to picturesque Bruges. Wander streets dressed like gingerbread houses, smell the intoxicating scent of freshly baked waffles and discover twinkling lights reflecting in the canals, a real treat for the senses. On the Market Square you will find everything you would expect from a vibrant, traditional Christmas market, wander over to Simon Stevin Square where the focus is more on artisan craft gifts. Perhaps visit De Witte Pelikaan Christmas shop to pick up that special ornament to remind you of your visit. Re-join the coach at 16.00hrs for our journey back to the hotel.
Sunday
Following a leisurely breakfast join the coach at 10.30hrs as we head into the city of Brussels. Brussels Christmas Market is a real-life Winter Wonderland making it one of the world's most popular Christmas markets. Held annually across various locations spanning most of the city including the Place Sainte-Catherine and Grand Place explore over 200 traditional festive chalets adorned with local produce and wonderful gifts. Experience a magical Christmas atmosphere with majestic Christmas tree, Ferris wheel, nativity scene, musical entertainment and wonderful festive fayre. Enjoy scents of melting chocolate, melting cheese, roasting almonds, and the warm spices from the Glühwein all mixed together to fill the cold winter air with the most intoxicating smell. Re-join the coach at 17.00hrs to return to the hotel, with time to relax before our evening meal.
Monday
Check out of our overnight hotel to continue our journey to Rotterdam, with a lunch stop in Ghent en-route. Experience the cosy Christmas atmosphere, explore the historic city, visit the Christmas Market and perhaps pick up some local produce for your journey home with time to obtain lunch. In Ghent the scent of pine resin and mulled wine make the festive experience complete. Depart Ghent mid-afternoon to continue to the port to board our overnight ferry back to Hull, enjoy dinner, entertainment and shopping onboard before retiring to your cabin.
Tuesday
Arrive in Hull rested and enjoy breakfast onboard before disembarking, re-join the coach to continue our journey home.
