Itinerary:
Wednesday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey to Huntingdon for our Best of British Christmas break, with a lunch stop in the picturesque market town of Stamford en-route with time to perhaps do some last-minute Christmas shopping, buy some treats for your stay or find somewhere delicious for lunch. Depart Stamford at 14.30hrs to continue our journey to the hotel. Arrive to a warm festive greeting with a welcome drink with cake or a mince pie. There will be live entertainment with dancing following dinner this evening.
Thursday (Christmas Eve)
This morning following breakfast we head into Cambridge for a few hours to explore and obtain lunch in the stunning university city, one of the World's greatest seats of learning. If it's shopping you are after Cambridge has it all, from some of the finest independent boutiques around to all the high street brands you might expect, you won't be disappointed. Cambridge is a fabulous destination for foodies too from local pubs to mouthwatering eateries, the city caters to every palate and pocket. Depart at 14.00hrs to return to the hotel. There will be live entertainment with dancing following dinner this evening. For those wishing to attend church this evening, please see reception for local church service and taxi information. Listen out and see if you can hear sleigh bells!
Friday (Christmas Day)
The Team at Ava Travel would like to wish all our wonderful passengers and our lovely, dedicated driver a very merry Christmas. Today is a day of leisure at the hotel with breakfast and Christmas carols this morning, to include a traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings this afternoon with fun in -house entertainment and the Kings Speech. This evening if you still have room we have a light evening buffet, live music and dancing.
Saturday (Boxing Day)
Following a leisurely start todays excursion takes us on a scenic journey of the Fens with a stop in Ely, perhaps take the Riverside Walk, a picturesque half-mile stroll along the Great Ouse to blow away the cobwebs or visit the 'Ship of the Fens', magnificent Ely Cathedral, or have lunch in one of the traditional inns the pocket-sizes city offers. Return to the hotel at 14.00hrs for time to relax or perhaps take a dip in the hotel pool. This evening, we enjoy dinner and a proms style concert with dancing until late..
Sunday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a lunch stop at Trentham Shopping Village en-route with time to browse and obtain lunch, departing at 14.00hrs to continue our journey home.
