Journey to the edge of the Cotswold’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with visits to Cirencester the charming ‘Capital of the Cotswolds’ and Malmesbury, England’s oldest borough with magnificent 12th century abbey. Itinerary
Thursday
Depart Leyland at 09.30hrs for our journey to our 4-star hotel in Swindon with a lunch stop in Worcester en-route.
Friday
Full day at the Visiting Blenheim Palace, Park and Gardens including entrance to the Flower Show, celebrate beautiful blooms and pretty plants in the magnificent surrounding of Blenheim Palace.
Saturday
Following breakfast today's excursion takes us to Gloucester, explore and take a journey into the past. Gloucester's crown jewel is the architectural masterpiece Gloucester Cathedral, explore medieval cobbled lanes to discover historical landmarks, perhaps visit the Victorian Docks, a legacy to the area's maritime past, now a vibrant hub of shops, restaurants and museums along the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal wonderfully surrounded by 15 magnificent Victorian Warehouses.
Sunday
Following a leisurely breakfast todays excursion takes us to the edge of the wonderful Cotswold's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, enjoy a morning visit to Malmesbury, explore and perhaps visit the original market cross, the Norman Abbey or the free Athelstan Museum, in the afternoon we head to the historic Roman town of Cirencester, known as the 'Capital of the Cotswolds' allowing time to explore and obtain lunch before returning to the hotel.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our journey home with a lunch stop in Litchfield Staffs en-route.
