Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey to Bonnie Scotland with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
Tuesday
Join the Scotrail train at Crainlarich station for the journey to Oban. The line takes us through the Pass of Brander and alongside loch Etive. On arrival enjoy free time to explore and obtain lunch, perhaps wander to the harbour to enjoy the views before boarding the train back to Crainlarich.
Wednesday
Today's journey takes us along Glen Dochart to Killin where the Falls of Dochart rush through the village. From here continue our journey along Loch Tay to Aberfeldy where we take a stop to enable you time to have lunch. This afternopon we head South along the Sma' Glen to Crieff with a visit to the Glenturret Distillery, makers of Famous Grouse, enjoy a tour and a wee dram before our return journey takes us along Loch Earn and Glen Ogle to Crainlarich.
Thursday
Today we discover one of the hidden wonders of the Highlands on a visit Ben Cruchan and the power station buried deep under to The Hollow Mountain. At its centre lies a massive cavern, big enough to house the Tower of London. This unique underground world on a spectacular scale is a 5-star attraction not to be missed. Following our visit head north to Fort William with time to explore this popular town before heading south on a journey alongside Loch Linnhe to Ballachulish and Loch Leven with a visit to the Glencoe Visitor Centre where you can discover stories of feuding clans and the infamous massacre. Our return journey takes us over the rugged and breathtaking Rannoch Moor to Crainlarich.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
