Take a boat trip along the pretty Dorset Heritage Coast to Swanage, where we sit back, and relax on a heritage steam train journey through magnificent Isle of Purbeck countryside.

Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey to Bournemouth with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive to a warm welcome with tea/coffee while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday - Thursday
Today travel through the New Forest, to the lovely Exbury Gardens, built and developed over more than 100 years. With its unique riverside location, visitors will be enthralled by the spectacular collection of landscaped woodland, herbaceous and formal gardens. Not to be missed is a ride on the narrow-gauge steam railway. This afternoon is to the romantic Highcliffe Castle. Learn the fascinating story of how this once lavish home was destroyed, left to ruin, and brought back to life.
Spend today at leisure relaxing in the hotel and visiting the popular seaside town of Bournemouth. Take time to enjoy the 7 miles of splendid golden beaches or browse in the wide variety of shops in the town centre. For the more active, why not enjoy a pier to pier walk starting at Boscombe Pier and wandering along the promenade to Bournemouth Pier.
Travel to Poole Harbour this morning for a boat trip along the splendid Dorset Heritage Coast to the resort of Swanage. Spend time in the Victorian town before boarding the steam train for a nostalgic journey through 6 miles of magnificent Purbeck countryside to Norden to rejoin the coach.

Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
