Itinerary:
Thursday
Depart Leyland at 08.30hrs for our journey to Chippenham with a lunch stop in Royal Leamington Spa en-route, filled with beautiful Regency architecture and a great shopping and foodie scene. Depart at 14.00hrs to continue to the hotel, arrive to a warm welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Friday
This morning travel to the beautiful city of Bath where we meet our guide to take us on a Bridgerton themed tour of the city. Discover iconic filming locations including Featherington House, Lady Danbury's residence, and Gunters Tea Rooms where Bridgerton and Featherington families gossip. Following our tour, the rest of the day is free to explore this 18th century spa city at leisure.
Saturday
We enjoy a leisurely morning in Chippenham, a historic market town where historical architectural gems sit alongside modern shopping centres, making this an ideal place to explore with something for everyone. Join the coach at 12.30hrs , this afternoon we head to beautiful Bradford-on-Avon for a short visit before moving on to the time-warp village of Lacock, famous for its picturesque streets used often as a filming location for TV and film including the Harry Potter Films (Hogwarts interiors, Godric's Hollow), the village streets of Downton Abbey and BBC's Pride and Prejudice. Its stunning untouched, 13th century architecture makes it a frequent setting for period dramas.
Sunday
This morning's excursion takes us to historic Salisbury where the early English gothic cathedral is home to the famous Magna Carta. With timbered buildings, museums and some of England's finest historic houses, this is a wonderful place waiting to be explored. This afternoon takes us to magnificent Wilton House, immediately recognisable as Hastings House, Simon Basset's London home. Wilton House doubles up as several Bridgerton filming locations including Clyvedon Castle and the interior of St James's Palace. Out in the beautiful, landscaped gardens you can promenade through 'London's Hyde Park' and view the delightful Palladian Bridge, a backdrop in many scenes throughout the Bridgerton series.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our return journey home with a stop in Stratford-upon Avon with time to explore and obtain lunch. Depart Stratford at 14.00hrs to continue our journey home.
