This beautiful area of the Eastern Highlands is breathtaking, journey through majestic scenery filled with mountains, forests, rivers, and abundant wildlife. Sit back, relax and take to the deep waters on a Loch Ness cruise, see if you can spot Nessie as you marvel at the magnificent views of Urquhart Castle. Journey to the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, admire beautiful mountain views as we travel to Scotland’s highest distillery, enjoy a warming Whisky tour and tasting at Dalwhinnie Distillery. We’ve also included a visit to Inverness, the capital of the Highlands.

Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.00am for our journey north to Newtonmore in the Cairngorm National Park with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive to a warm Highland welcome as you bag is taken to your room.
Tuesday - Thursday
Morning free to relax at the hotel and to enjoy Newtonmore, allowing time for lunch, join the coach at 1pm, take a scenic journey and enjoy the mountain views as we head into the heart of the Cairngorm National Park to Dalwhinnie Distillery, the highest in Scotland at 1164 feet above sea level. Includes a tour and tasting.
Today takes us on a scenic journey via the remote Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge where we stop to contemplate and take in the magnificent views, continue our journey to the banks of Loch Ness where we board an Inspiration cruise with commentary from Clansman Harbour, sit back, relax and take in the magnificent Loch, enjoy mountain scenic views including the breathtaking sight of Urquhart Castle, see if you can spot Nessie on our journey.
Morning visit to Inverness allowing time to explore and obtain lunch before returning to the hotel mid-afternoon for tea/coffee, cakes or shortbread
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, bid farewell to our Scottish hosts and begin our return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route
