Itinerary:

Sunday
Depart Leyland at 08.30hrs for our journey to Stranraer with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive to a warm Sottish welcome while your case is taken to your room.

Monday
Today we leisurely explore the lovely peninsula which our hotel is part of, this South-Western tip of Scotland enjoys an almost subtropical climate and includes the Logan Botanic Garden where plants from warmer climates thrive as they are warmed by the Gulf Stream. Established in 1869, Logan was gifted to the nation a century later, becoming a regional garden of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh in 1969. Following our visit, we head to Portpatrick to wander the picturesque seaside village at your own pace. Once a busy port to Northern Ireland, this pretty village is now a holiday resort with pastel-coloured houses and a stunning bay. You can even see Ireland on a clear day.

Tuesday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast, before we journey around the shores of Loch Ryan, through the Rhins of Galloway to Cairnryan, enjoy some free time in Stranraer, allowing time to explore and obtain lunch. Once in Cairnryan board the ferry for our crossing to Northern Ireland. Disembark in Belfast and continue our journey to The Lodge Hotel, Coleraine, out Irish home for the next 3 nights. Arrive to a warm Irish welcome while your case is taken to your room.

Wednesday
Today we meet our guide and head to the dramatic Co. Antrim Coast, known world-wide for its stunning scenery. Travel the coastal road, winding between the sea and the Nine Glens of Antrim, where forest-covered hills swoop down into deep valleys. With admission to the legendary Giant's Causeway Visitor Centre included before venturing along the coast to Ballycastle, with views of Rathlin Island, Cushendun and all in between to Larne, before heading back across country to our hotel.

Thursday
Today, history is all around you in Derry (Londonderry). Joining us today is our knowledgeable guide who will take us on an introductory tour of the compact, walkable city followed by time at leisure to explore at your own pace. Experience traditional music spilling out onto the ancient streets of the walled city from cosy pubs, and museums that tell stories of times past. In the afternoon we take a Walled City Brewery tour to savour their delights with a tasting included. Return to Coleraine by the scenic A2 coastal road.

Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, head to Belfast in preparation for our crossing mid-afternoon. Before we take the ferry enjoy free time to explore Northern Ireland's capital, allowing time for lunch. Perhaps visit Titanic Belfast or take a Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus journey to see the highlights of the city before heading to the port to board the ferry. Disembark in Cairnryan to continue our journey home.
