Itinerary
Tuesday
Depart Leyland 09.00hrs travel via the Peak District National Park with a lunch stop in Buxton en-route, re-join the coach at 14.00hrs to continue our journey to Belton Woods. Arrive to a warm welcome with tea and scones, tonight a 3-course dinner will be served in the main restaurant.
Wednesday (Christmas Eve)
This morning following breakfast our excursion takes us to Lincoln, perhaps visit the magnificent cathedral, allowing time to explore and obtain lunch, re-join the coach at 13.30hrs to return to the hotel where mulled wine and mince pies will be served in reception from 15.00hrs. Tonight's 3-course dinner will be served in the restaurant followed by hotel entertainment. Details of nearby church services are available from reception for those wishing to attend Midnight Mass.
Thursday (Christmas Day)
Merry Christmas to all our Avatravellers! Today's breakfast will be served with a glass of bucks fizz. Enjoy time to relax before our traditional Christmas Dinner with welcome glass of fizz served in the beautiful Hawthorne Suite overlooking the golf course. The King's speech will be televised at 15.00hrs with tea/coffee and Christmas cake served in the bar. This evening is a casual buffet in the restaurant followed by entertainment in the bar.
Friday (Boxing Day)
This morning following a leisurely breakfast we journey to Stamford a beautiful stone town with over 600 listed buildings and 5 medieval churches allowing time to explore the rich history and obtain lunch, re-join the coach at 14.00hrs for our return to the hotel. This afternoon we have a festive quiz with a 3-course dinner served this evening.
Saturday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast for our return journey home with a lunch stop in Chesterfield on market day en-route, re-join the coach at 14.00hrs to continue our journey home.
