On Christmas Eve enjoy a Traditional Highland Night including piping in the haggis, a 5-course meal and of course a wee dram, accompanied by Scottish entertainment, be sure to keep an eye out for Santa and his Cairngorm Reindeer during the evening. Christmas day is a traditional, relaxed affair of great food, board games, and evening entertainment, if youve been good, you may even find a small gift from Santa. Christmas wouldnt be complete without a Panto including fun, laughter and shouts of behind you, join us for this great tradition in Inverness. Itinerary:
Thursday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Newtonmore and the Highlander Hotel with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive to a warm Highland welcome while your case is taken to your room. Enjoy a welcome drinks reception this evening before dinner followed by musical entertainment.
Friday (Christmas Eve)
Enjoy a hearty breakfast before todays excursion to Grantown-on-Spey and Aviemore. Tonight, back at the hotel experience a wonderful Traditional Highland Night consisting of a 5-course meal, piping in the haggis and, of course a wee dram all accompanied by Scottish entertainment. Look out for Santa and his team of Cairngorm Reindeer during the evening! For those wishing to attend Midnight Mass at the village Church of Scotland, mulled wine and hot minced pies will be served on your return.
Saturday (Christmas Day)
Merry Christmas to all our Avatravellers and our wonderful driver. Enjoy a good breakfast to start your day but leave a little room for lunch! Enjoy a morning of leisure opening your presents and relaxing with family or friends before Traditional Christmas Lunch is served, as well as a gift delivered from Santa. Following lunch perhaps take a stroll around the village or a brisk walk to Glen Banchor to enjoy the spectacular scenery. Alternatively, retire to the lounge and test your brains with a board game. Dinner tonight is buffet style, followed by an evening of entertainment.
Sunday (Boxing Day)
This morning enjoys an excursion to the beautiful Glenmore Forest Park and Cairngorm Ski Centre. The drive up to Cairngorm Mountain will delight offering stunning views down towards Loch Morlich and beyond at over 600 meters above sea level, if you're lucky, you may even spot some of the reindeer who are part of Britain's only free roaming reindeer herd. Following time to perhaps visit the Cairngorm Café at car park level we head to the 'Capital of the Highlands' - Inverness, to take our seats in the Eden Court Theatre for an afternoon of fun and laughter for the Christmas Pantomime. Arrive back at the hotel for dinner and our final night of music and entertainment.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
