Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Colchester with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
Tuesday - Thursday
Following breakfast spend the morning in Colchester, discover museums and galleries sitting amongst historic buildings and heritage sites combined with great shops, allowing time for lunch before returning to the hotel mid-afternoon to relax and enjoy the leisure facilities.
Today a Blue Badge Guide will join us onboard the coach for a tour of Constable Country including visits to Flatford, Dedham and East Bergholt. View landscapes unchanged since Constables Day, immortalised in his most famous paintings.
Today we head to the Essex coast to Maldon on the Blackwater Estuary, renowned for its picturesque Hythe Quay, where you can find many of the remaining Thames Barges and rich maritime heritage. Maldon is one of the oldest recorded towns in Essex offering a charming mix of independent shops, high street names, and diverse dining spots, around its historic High Street and vibrant Hythe Quay.
