Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 10.00hrs for our journey to Redworth Hall with a lunch stop in Kendal en-route with time to explore and obtain lunch, depart Kendal at 14.00hrs to continue our journey to Redworth Hall arrive to a warm welcome with tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
Today we visit Beamish Open-Air Museum, take a journey back in time through the North East of yesteryear. Attractions include an authentic town street, a colliery village with the chance to take a trip down the mine, an old-fashioned sweet shop, working farm, steam locomotives and much more. Take journeys around the site on restored trams and buses. Eat in one of the cafes and authentic chippy's, have a pint in the local or visit the cinema.
Wednesday
This morning travel to the ancient and historic city of Durham, acclaimed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and dominated by the magnificent Norman Cathedral and Castle high above the River Wear. Enjoy free time to explore the city with its labyrinth of interesting streets and alleyways, perhaps take a stroll along the river, stop and have a drink overlooking the water or sit back and relax on a cruise. Durham has a wonderful choice of eateries where you can enjoy lunch, there's somewhere to suit every palate and pocket. Return to the hotel mid-afternoon with time to relax or enjoy the hotels leisure facilities.
Thursday
Today we visit to the picturesque market town of Barnard Castle, perhaps see where Dickens immortalised 'Dothboys Hall' or take a look at Cromwell's Refuge, browse antique shops or visit the castle high above the Tees, enjoy time to explore and obtain lunch before we head to nearby Bowe's Museum. Set within a French-Styled Chateau the museum opened in 1892, be amazed with the magnificent collection of art including the beautiful Silver Swan automaton, with 2,000 moving parts the swan was star of the show at The Paris Exhibition in 1867, now lovingly restored.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast, depart the hotel at 10.00hrs to begin our journey home with a visit to Locomotion en-route with time to explore and obtain lunch, depart Locomotion at 13.00hrs to continue our journey home.

All bedrooms are luxurious and furnished with traditional fabrics.
