Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.00am for our journey to Cairnryan in Scotland with a suitable lunch stop en-route, board the 15.30hrs Stena Line Crossing to Belfast Port and enjoy an evening meal on board arriving in Belfast Port approx. 17.45hrs, re-join the coach to disembark in Belfast and continue our journey to The Inishowen Gateway Hotel in Co. Donegal our home for the next four nights.
Tuesday - We enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Inishowen Peninsula today, with its traditional villages and unspoilt beaches. Experience breathtaking views from Malin Head, the most northerly point in Ireland before continuing around the coast for an informative tour of Dunree Fort, an excellent relic of military history with outstanding views across Lough Swilly.
Wednesday - Today is a long but worthwhile day into Northern Ireland for a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of The Giants Causeway. Explore fascinating basalt stone columns left by the volcanic eruptions 60 million years ago, or a legend would have it, the stepping stones of the Giant Finn McCool! Join us at the state-of-the-art visitor centre which offers an enhanced visitor experience.
Thursday
Today we travel inland to the stunning Glenveagh National Park. Learn about its fascinating history before boarding the shuttle bus to the castle and its world-renowned gardens which boast a multitude of exotic plants. Return to Buncrana for the afternoon, allowing you free to explore our host town.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our journey to Belfast Port with a suitable lunch stop en-route, board the afternoon ferry back to Cairnryan in Scotland, re-join the coach as we disembark in Cairnryan to continue our journey home.
