Experience what life was like to live and work in the authentic picturesque setting of Zaanse Schans, visit Castle De Haar the biggest castle in the Netherlands and enjoy free time in Amsterdam, Utrecht and Volendam.

Itinerary:
Sunday
Depart Leyland at 06.00hrs for our journey to Dover where we will board the ferry to Dunkirk, enjoy access to the Premium Lounge onboard the ferry for a smoother start to your holiday with complimentary food and drinks. Disembark and re-join the coach in Dunkirk to continue our journey to the hotel.
Monday
Following breakfast depart the hotel for a visit to the heritage area of Zaanse Schans, which is still an inhabited village today. The Zaanse Ticket includes entry to the Zaanse Museum where you can learn of rich history and art of this unique area, discover everything there is to know about the traditional Dutch craft of sailcloth and windmill cloth weaving at the Weaver's House and uncover the world of windmills at Windmill Museum, step inside working mills and experience what life was like to live and work at Zaanse Schans with lots more to explore in this authentic, picturesque setting, allowing time for lunch. In the afternoon visit the fishing town of Volderdam, founded in the 14th century Volderdam is also known as 'The Pearl of the Zuiderzee'. Walk along its promenade to take in the views, perhaps have a drink at one of the pretty cafes or explore its quaint shops before returning to the hotel.
Tuesday
Following breakfast depart the hotel for our visit to Keukenhof, the most beautiful spring garden in the world with over 7 million flowering bulbs planted each year and over 800 different types of tulips. A wonderful delight for the senses with a blooming colour explosion the flowers of Keukenhof make for a true spectacle. Before visiting Keukenhof we make a short stop at De Tulperij, a family-owned bulb farm where they grow world class tulips, Dahlias and other flowers that they export across the globe. This evening will be spent in Amsterdam, allowing you time to explore the city at night and obtain an evening meal. Head back to the hotel at 21.00hrs.
Wednesday
Today's attraction takes us to the city of Utrecht with a visit to the impressive Castle De Haar, dating back to the 13th century with wonderful park and gardens covering 135 acres. The Rose Garden, Roman Garden, ponds and canals as well as numerous bridges, scenic views and impressive avenues all add to its unique charm. In the afternoon we head into Utretch with free time to explore this charming alternative to Amsterdam. Explore canals, museums, restaurants, and its beautiful city centre with time to obtain a meal before heading back to the hotel.
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast to begin our return journey home as we head to the port in Dunkirk, board the ferry to Dover where you re-join the coach to continue the journey home suitable meal stops en-route.

About the hotel | The Niu Fender Hotel is a modern hotel situated right on the marina on the outskirts of the city just 2.5miles from the centre of Amsterdam. The hotel offers uninterrupted views of the harbour with a nearby tram stop making it convenient for those that wish to travel into the city at night.
