Our excursions take us on a journey through beautiful South Downs countryside to the picturesque quintessentially English village of Alfriston on the banks of the Cuckmere River before exploring the Regency seaside resort of Brighton and enjoying the magnificent views from Beachy Head. Journey through the High Weald, a wonderful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1066 country to visit historic Tenterden the ‘Jewel of the Weald’, step back in time and visit historic Hastings Old Town, wander twittens to view ancient churches, houses and a unique fishing quarter.

Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Eastbourne with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
Tuesday
This morning our excursion takes us to the pretty South Downs village of Alfriston, the many old buildings here give the village a feel of ancient times, with time to explore before re-joining the coach, continue our journey through the South Downs to drop down to the coast to the seaside resort of Brighton, wander majestic Regency squares and crescents, perhaps visit the iconic Royal Pavilion and famous piers. Brighton is a shopper's paradise, chose from a huge eclectic mix of options from vintage boutiques and independent shops of the historic 'Lanes' offering a quirky edge to your shopping to the big-name brands and high street stores of Churchill Square and Brighton Marina with masses of dining options for when you get peckish. On the return to the hotel follow the beaches and cliffs with a stop at Beach Heady to enjoy breathtaking views over the sea
Wednesday
Today is a day of leisure in our host town Eastbourne, enjoy elegant seafront terraces, level promenades and beautiful gardens. Perhaps enjoy a seafront stroll, relax at the hotel or head into town. The choice is yours.
Thursday
This morning, we journey into The High Weald to visit Tenterden, the 'Jewel of the Weald' filled with fascinating history and a wealth of beautiful architecture, allowing time to explore. From here drop down to the coast to visit Hastings Old town, where the Sussex Weald meet the sea, the quaint old town provides its visitors with a slightly Bohemian feel, a muddle of houses, ancient churches, shops and a multitude of pubs nestles between two cliffs and is just a 15-mins walk from Hastings main town.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
