Itinerary:
Tuesday
Depart Leyland at 10.30hrs for our journey to New Lanark with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive at the New Lanark Mill Hotel to a warm Scottish welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Wednesday
Enjoy a leisurely morning of free time to relax with an included visit to the New Lanark World Heritage Site Museum on the banks of the Falls of Clyde, perhaps explore the sites beautiful rooftop garden and the beautifully restored conservation village or take the opportunity to use the hotel's leisure facilities before joining the coach at 16.00hrs. Travel into Edinburgh where you will have time to explore, soak up the festive atmosphere and obtain an evening meal before heading to the castle for the wonderful, thrilling highlight of our holiday. Join in the pomp and ceremony at the spectacular evening performance of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Important Note: Please be advised that there will be a short walk from the designated coach parking area or following your free time in the city to the Tattoo venue, which may involve an uphill and cobbled approach to the Esplanade.
Thursday
Today we enjoy a relaxing morning at the hotel with time to enjoy the leisure facilities and discover more of what the New Lanark UNESCO World Heritage Site has to offer. At 12.30hrs join the coach for an afternoon visit to Peebles allowing time to explore and obtain lunch. Enjoy stunning scenery, shops and cafes in this artsy town along the River Tweed.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
