Take a journey to the edge of Dartmoor to visit stunning Buckfast Abbey, home to a community of Benedictine Monks, beautifully nestled in a picture-perfect valley, take a step back in time with a scenic return journey on the South Devon Railway, discover Torquay’s heritage attraction Bygones, packed with over 100 years of British history and explore the colourful harbour town of Brixham.

Itinerary:
Sunday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey to Torquay with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive to a warm welcome while your bag is taken to your room.
Monday - Thursday
Free day in Torquay to explore, relax at the hotel and perhaps take a dip in the indoor pool with the following excursions:
Journey to the edge of Dartmoor to take a return rail journey on the South Devon Railway from Buckfastleigh to Totnes, on arrival back in Buckfastleigh enjoy time to explore the South Devon Railway Museum, gift and model shop, stroll the beautiful gardens or pop into Birdies Kitchen. Following our visit re-join the coach as we take you round to Buckfast Abbey, Devon's hidden gem. Visit the Abbey Church, wander the stunning gardens, learn of Benedictine monastery life according to the ancient rule of St Benedict from the Abbey's exhibition or visit The Grange Restaurant serving light bites and hot delicious dishes.
This morning's excursion takes us along the coast of Torbay to Brixham, enjoy free time to explore the colourful fishing harbour town allowing time for lunch, return to the hotel mid-afternoon.

Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
