Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Torquay with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive to a warm welcome with tea/coffee and mince pies while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
Free day in Torquay
Wednesday
Today's excursion takes us to the historic market town of Newton Abbot, with time to explore the Wednesday market and the historic town allowing time to obtain lunch before heading to the edge of Dartmoor with a visit to Buckfast Abbey, home to a community of Benedictine Monks.
Thursday
Morning visit and guided tour at Bygones, uncover 100 years of British history, authentic curiosities, and quirky memorabilia. Experience the hustle and bustle Victorian life as you wander the Victorian Street, discover period rooms including a nursery and kitchen and visit the WWII evacuees at the station display complete with 27-ton steam train to just name a few. Afternoon free in Torquay.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
