Festive Blenheim, Kew & Winchester

Itinerary:

Friday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Wokingham with a suitable lunch stop en-route. In the afternoon continue our journey to the hotel, arrive to a warm welcome while your case is taken to your room. This evening, we will enjoy an early dinner before heading to Kew Gardens where it's the most wonderful time of the year! The sparking atmospheric after-dark trail returns for the festive season to magically light up your surroundings. Discover glittering tunnels, dancing lakeside reflections, and trees drenched in rich jewel-like colours.

Saturday
Following a leisurely breakfast we head to historic Winchester. With the return of the Christmas market, recognised as one of the best in Europe, Cathedral Inner Close is transformed with more than 90 beautifully decorated wooden chalets inspired by traditional German Christmas Markets selling a wide range of gifts and festive treats. Renowned for its bustling atmosphere, stunning location and handpicked high-quality exhibitors the market is a real treat. For those in search of an authentic Christmas experience, the Cathedral is at the heart of the city's celebration, why not step inside and discover over 1,000 years of history in one of the finest medieval cathedrals in Europe.

Sunday
This morning, we journey north to magnificent Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill. Explore the exquisitely festive, fairytale-themed palace interior dressed in all its magnificent splendour for the festive season, featuring a gigantic, beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the Great Hall. Outside in the Great Courtyard soak up the atmosphere while browsing the Christmas market with over 70 local traders offering a variety of artisan wares and festive goodies.

Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our journey home with a lunch stop in Royal Leamington Spa en-route, perhaps do a spot of Christmas shopping before re-joining the coach at 13.30hrs to continue our journey home.

The Christmas at Kew light trail is designed to be accessible, but some areas may be challenging for visitors with mobility issues. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are permitted, and wheelchairs are available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis. There are also accessible toilets along the trail.
