Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 10.00am for our journey to Harrogate with a lunch stop in Haworth, home to the Bronte sisters, with time to explore and obtain lunch. Depart Haworth at 14.00hrs to continue our journey to the hotel, arrive to a warm Yorkshire welcome with tea/coffee while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
Take a scenic drive through the Yorkshire Dales National Park with a stop in rural market town of Hawes in Wensleydale, today is market day, browse stalls, perhaps sample some of the towns famous cheese, visit traditional shops and eateries with time to obtain lunch before heading back through the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales.
Wednesday
Free day to relax and explore our historic host town Harrogate.
Thursday
Full day visit to the walled city of York, explore the historic city filled with attractions, perhaps visit the Minster or the free Railway Museum, shop until you drop with a great choice of cafes, bars and restaurants for a pit stop. Visit the quirky shops of the Shambles all decorated for the festive season, with the arrival of the Christmas Market there's plenty to see and do for everyone.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast for our return journey home with a lunch stop in picturesque Grassington, fictional home to Darrowby in the new All Creatures Great and Small series, enjoy time to explore and obtain lunch before departing at 14.30hrs to continue our journey home.
