Itinerary
Sunday
Depart Leyland at 08.30hrs for our journey to the 4-star Bridgewood Manor Hotel in Chatham with a suitable lunch stop en-route, arrive to a warm welcome with tea/coffee while your luggage is taken care of.
Monday
Following breakfast, we have a morning free at the hotel, allowing you time to relax and use the leisure facilities, meet the coach at noon for our afternoon visit to Hever Castle, childhood home of Anne Boleyn.
Tuesday
Following breakfast, we visit the historic riverside town of Gravesend with its famous piers and cobbled High Street brimming with independent shops, cosy tea rooms, tap rooms and artisan makers, with time to explore and obtain lunch before returning to the coach for our journey back to the hotel mid-afternoon.
Wednesday
Following a leisurely breakfast, we have a morning visit to the nearby ancient cathedral city of Rochester, a place loved by the famous author Charles Dickens, allowing time for lunch and to explore before we head to Tenterden the 'Jewel of the Weald', take time to discover this picturesque town before we take a journey back to the golden age of rail travel on the Kent and Sussex Railway to Bodiam travelling through beautiful countryside of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Returning to the hotel via Staplehurst to continue our scenic journey of The High Weald.
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route
