Itinerary:
Thursday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to our overnight hotel in Bournemouth with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Dinner at the East Cliff this evening will be taken at the Carlton Hotel.
Friday
This morning following breakfast, check out of our overnight hotel ready to travel to Poole to board the ferry as foot passengers to St Peter Port in Guernsey. On arrival we will be met off the ferry by Island Coachways who will provide our port to hotel transfer. Arrive at the hotel to a warm welcome while your case is taken to your room. This evening enjoys a 3-course dinner.
Saturday
Today we join a local coach and driver for a full island tour. Take a scenic drive through to St Martins and St Andrews. You will have an opportunity to explore The Little Chapel. Originally built in 1914, the chapel is known for being one of the smallest in the world and is decorated beautifully in broken china, shells and pebbles. The Little Chapel features in the book "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society" which was released in March 2018. Travel via Pleinmont Point where you will be able to see stunning views of the south coast with a chance to visit the restored German gun battery and a stop at Guernsey Pearl. Back on board the coach the driver will take you around the west coast to visit some of Guernsey's favourite beaches, Grandes Rocques and Pembroke Bay. The tour will then come to an end, finishing with a scenic drive through the heart of St Peter Port back to the hotel. (please note any admissions fees for attractions are not included in today's island tour).
Sunday and Monday
Over the next 2 days you have free time to relax at the hotel, enjoy the leisure facilities and explore the island independently. There is a convenient, frequent bus service that stops outside the hotel, the hotel also offers a shuttle service into St Peter Port, this runs once a day and is subject to availability, please ask reception for details.
Tuesday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast. Take the local transfer back to the port to board the ferry as foot passengers to Poole. Disembark and re-join our coach to make the short journey back to the East Cliff Hotel in Bournemouth for our overnight stay. Dinner this evening will be at the Carlton Hotel.
Wednesday
Check out of our overnight hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.

| About the hotel | Located on the outskirts of St Peter Port, originally a country mansion, Les Rocquettes was built in 1765. The charming hotel has an excellent location, being within walking distance of the town centre of St Peter Port and is well served by the Guernsey bus service, the hotel also has a seasonal shuttle service into town which runs once a day, departing mid-morning, returning late afternoon (see reception for details). The hotel is just a 15 minutes’ walk from Candie Gardens, and a 30 mins walk to St Julians Pier and the beautiful harbour. Facilities include an indoor pool, gym, hot tub, sauna, attractive gardens and stylish onsite bars. Guest bedrooms are spacious, comfortable rooms with all the amenities you would expect for a relaxing stay. |
