Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 11am for our journey to Heysham to board the afternoon ferry over to the Isle of Man, re-join the coach as we disembark in Douglas to continue our scenic journey over the island to Ramsey our home for the next 4 nights.
Tuesday
This morning following a leisurley start our guide will join us on the coach at 10.00hrs for a tour of the island covering the TT and surrounding history.
Wednesday
Today following a leisurley couple of hours in Ramsey our excursion takes us to the Manx Electric Railway at nearby Ramsey Station where the coach will drop you for your journey to Douglas, sit back, relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery on this wonderful heritage line. On arrival in Douglas, you are free to spend your day at leisure in the Manx Capital, perhaps continue your heritage journey by boarding one of the horsedrawn trams along the seafront, or visit the Manx Museum, there's great shopping opportunities and wonderful places to get a bite to eat too, however you choose to spend your day, enjoy. The coach driver will arrange where to meet you in Douglas for your return to the hotel.
Thursday
Today's excursion takes us to Castletown where we've included a visit to the Castle Rushden with free time to explore Castletown afterwards and obtain lunch. Re-join the coach at 13.00hrs, continue our scenic journey of the island with a short stop in the large village of Port St Mary, perhaps stroll the pretty harbour before continuing our journey to The Sound, the islands very southern tip , take in the magnificent views of this area abundant with wildlife and natural wonders with views of the Calf of Man. Re-join the coach at 15.00hrs as we head the short distance to Port Erin with a little time to explore before we board the 16.00hrs steam train to Douglas. In Douglas our driver will be waiting for you to take you back to the hotel.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following an early breakfast for our morning return journey from Douglas back to Heysham, re-join the coach to disembark in Heysham for our return journey home.
Important note: please note that due to guide/attraction availability Tuesdays and Wednesdays itinerary have swapped around from what is printed in the brochure.
