Included in our mini break is a delicious afternoon tea at The Old Swan and a visit to RHS Harlow Carr as the gardens awaken in a wonderful display of vibrant colours and fragrance for the Spring, bulbs including daffodils, tulips, muscari, hyacinth and iris fill the borders and containers. Depart Leyland at 10.00hrs as we head straight to Harrogate, enjoy free time to explore before checking in to our hotel and enjoying a delicious afternoon tea. Relax before dinner this evening.
Monday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, today's excursion takes us on a visit to RHS Harlow Carr, sitting in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, wander a variety of growing landscapes including running and still water, woodland and flower meadows. Across the axis of the garden are the main borders, Spring is the perfect time to view Narcissus and Camassia with Primula found in colourful pockets at Streamside. Be inspired by the collection of alpine plants in the dedicated Alpine House, look for early crops in the Kitchen Garden and the beautiful blossom on the crab apple hedging. The re-developed Harrogate Arms is now open as a new RHS café in the gardens and provides a welcome spot for refreshment. Re-join the coach at 15.30hrs to continue our journey home.
