Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to the 4-star Holiday Inn, Bath Road with a lunch stop at Royal Leamington Spa en-route with time to explore this wonderful attraction and obtain lunch, depart Royal Leamington Spa at 14.00hrs to continue our journey to the hotel with time to relax before our evening meal.
Saturday
Following breakfast head into London to the Kings Gallery at the side of Buckingham Palace. Today we wander through the 10 decades of the late Queen Elizabeth II's life, from princess through 7 decades as queen, the longest reigning monarch throughout British history. This wonderful exhibition is a time limited exhibition featuring more than 300 items, many on display for the first time. From off-duty outfits to wonderful creations worn to state occasions on the global stage. Following our visit enjoy free time, from here shoppers have access to everything from high-street fashion, Market Food Halls to luxury boutiques and official royal souvenirs. Most options are a short walk south in Victoria or a scenic walk north towards Mayfair. Perhaps take a stroll in St James's or Hyde Park, visit The Royal Mews (pre-booking advisable), visit the attractions of Westminster or head to Pall Mall for wonderful gastropubs and bars, the choice is yours. Re-join the coach at 16.30hrs for our journey back to the hotel.
Sunday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, before heading home we visit Kensington Palace, home to young royals for over 300 years and birthplace of Queen Victoria. Walk in the footsteps of royals as you journey through King's and Queen's State Apartments, learn the story of Princess Victoria, the young girl destined to be queen in the rooms where she was born and raised, with a little free time to explore the affluent area of Kensington or take a leisurely stroll in the park. Re-join the coach at 15.00hrs to continue our journey home.
