Sunday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Ashford in Kent with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive at the hotel to a warm welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Monday - Wednesday (please note that tours are booked over 12 months in advance, days of attraction visits may vary due to attraction availability).
Today's excursion takes us to the Historic Dockyard in Chatham with guided coach tour included. Discover the story of the dockyard and its people in the immersive exhibition galleries. Explore three historic warships and learn about warship construction, examine important objects related to the Dockyard and the wider maritime world from the collections of Royal Museums Greenwich and Imperial War Museums. The dockyard known for its historic 18th and 19th century buildings and extensive grounds is a popular backdrop and filming location featuring in productions including Call the Midwife, The Crown, Enola Holmes 2 and Bridgerton. Depart at 14.30hrs, return to the hotel mid-afternoon to relax and perhaps use the leisure facilities.
Following breakfast, we visit Sissinghurst Castle Garden before making a lunch stop in charming, historic Tenterden, known as the 'Jewel of the Weald'. The picturesque town offers fascinating history, excellent shopping and a wealth of places to eat and drink with time to explore and obtain lunch.
Today, following breakfast we head to the beautiful medieval city of Canterbury with a guided tour of the magnificent Cathedral. Spend free time exploring this magnificent city and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Discover rich heritage and culture, surround yourself with magnificent architecture in the medieval walled city with a great shopping and foodie scene, you'll be spoilt for choice on this wonderful day out.
