Itinerary:
Monday
Depart Leyland at 10.00hrs for our journey to the Hex Hotel on the complex of Yorkshire Wildlife Park with a lunch stop at The Mill Outlet and Garden Centre, Batley en-route with time to explore and obtain lunch, depart at 14.30hrs to continue our journey to The Hex Hotel where you'll receive a warm Yorkshire welcome while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday
Visit to Lincoln with free time to explore, includes entrance to two of the city's wonderful historic attractions. Take a ground floor guided tour of Lincoln Cathedral, uncover a history spanning more than 950 years. Explore Lincoln Castle a symbol of power and punishment where both Kings and convicts have walked, our ticket includes the Medieval Wall Walk, a vantage point to enjoy spectacular views of this beautiful city and surrounding countryside. Experience the Victorian Prison, men. Women and children as young as 8 where incarcerated here from 1848 - 1878 their crimes ranging from stealing a waistcoat and Bible to highway robbery and murder. View an original 1215 Magna Carta and a 1217 Charter of the Forest, Lincoln Castle is the only place in the world where they can be seen side by side.
Wednesday
Enjoy a day at the UK's number one walkthrough wildlife experience with around 475 animals including over 60 different species to discover, most animals being endangered or threatened in the wild. take your time and wander amongst the animals at leisure.
Thursday
Morning to relax at the hotel at 12noon join the coach for a visit to Wentworth Historic Gardens and Garden Centre, see if you can crack the maze, wander the renovated formal Italian Garden complete with canal pond complemented by topiary and colourful herbaceous borders, the proud RHS Partner Garden even has a Bear Pit!
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a lunch stop in Holmfirth en-route with free time to explore the town famous for Nora Batty, Compo and the last of the Summer Wine allowing time for lunch, depart at 14.000hrs to continue our journey home.
