Itinerary-
Monday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to Kent with a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arrive at the 4-star Ashford International to a warm welcome with tea/coffee while your case is taken to your room.
Tuesday - Thursday
Free time at the hotel to relax and enjoy the leisure facilities with the following excursions:
Today we visit the ancient market town of Faversham mentioned in the Domesday Book, Tuesday is market day, wander the oldest market in Kent and picturesque medieval streets lined with unique independent shops and cafes. In the afternoon we head to the coast to visit the beautiful seaside town of Ramsgate home to the only Royal Harbour in the UK, soak up the continental feel amongst stunning architecture, enjoy picturesque views across the marina or just relax and watch the world go by in one of the waterfront cafes, bars and restaurants.
Today we spend the day in Canterbury with a morning visit to Canterbury Cathedral including a guided tour, includes access to the Cathedral Precincts, gardens and exhibitions. Following our visit spend free time exploring this magnificent city a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover rich heritage and culture, surround yourself with magnificent architecture in the medieval walled city with a great shopping and foodie scene you'll be spoilt for choice on this wonderful day out.
This morning, we head into the heart of the Weald of Kent to visit Tenterden, a charming town rich in history, explore the attractive, broad tree-lined High Street brimming with an eclectic mix of interesting shops, stunning medieval church with a great choice of places to eat and drink many offering delicious locally grown produce.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
